Anna Rushing

Hello! I’m Anna Rushing, the hygiene coordinator at Downtown Dental Excellence. My responsibilities include coordinating and scheduling all hygiene appointments, and helping keep patients committed to their oral health. This position is a great fit for me because I enjoy meeting new people and building patient relationships. I’m also the sleep apnea coordinator where I use state of the art software to craft custom oral appliances to help patients breathe better when they sleep. Providing these appliances is so rewarding to me when I see the life changing effect it has on our patients.

I started in the dental field in 2009 as a Dental Assistant. I met my husband in 2009 when he came to the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa). We married in 2012 and moved to Birmingham. Shortly after, in 2013, I graduated from the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program.

I was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and am passionate about sports, playing traveling softball for over 10 years. I love watching Alabama football, riding bikes, and reading in between.
