WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT DOWNTOWN DENTAL EXCELLENCE

SOME OF THE PROCEDURES WE OFFER

Deep Teeth Cleaning

Deep teeth cleaning is also called root planing or scaling and is where we remove plaque, debris and anything else that may be harming your teeth from below the gum line using an ultrasonic device. This procedure is needed to ensure no bacteria hides away above the gum line that could potentially harm your smile down the road.

More About Deep Teeth Cleaning

Dental Braces

Straight teeth look great, but they do not always happen naturally. Applying dental braces allow your or your child's teeth to be gently moved into the best possible positions. Metal brackets are positioned on each tooth and strengthened together with a metal brace. The gentle shifting of the teeth will have you excited for the final result!

More About Dental Braces

Dental Bridges

A gap in your teeth can lead to a bad bite and even damage to your jaw bone. Having the gap filled in using dental bridges is a great solution. These permanent, custom-made synthetic teeth are held in place securely and feel very much like your natural teeth. We will make your set of dental bridges to fit your smile perfectly.

More About Dental Bridges

Dental Crowns

Teeth can be damaged by accidents, wear away over time or simply decay due to bacteria. In any of these cases, we can attach dental crowns that fit perfectly and make your damaged tooth or teeth look and feel great again. Each dental crown is custom made, and durable enough to last a lifetime.

More About Dental Crowns

Dental Checkups

It is recommended to have a dental check-up at least twice a year. More than just your teeth, your dental checkup will identify if your gums, tongue, tissue inside your mouth and even your jawbone have any issues. Catching a problem early is the best time, and stopping a problem before it happens is even better.

More About Dental Checkups

Full & Partial Dentures

Teeth can easily begin to fall out with age due to the gradual breakdown of tooth and gum tissue. Because of this, dentures are a solid solution that let you continue to chew and smile with confidence. The dentures we will make for you are custom made, can be repaired if need be, and feel very similar to your original teeth.

Dental Implants

Having a tooth removed is a significant decision, but sometimes it has to be done. In these cases, having a gap in your mouth can cause even worse problems down the line. To prevent this, dental implants are a permanent, sturdy and natural feeling solution. We attach a base to your jaw bone and then attach your custom porcelain tooth to the new base to make your smile whole again.

Sleep Apnea Testing

Sleep apnea is where your airway becomes blocked during the night, interrupting your breathing and causing poor sleep. We offer home sleep apnea testing, that will identify if you do have sleep apnea. From there, either a CPAP machine or an oral device can be your ticket to far better, uninterrupted sleep.

Dental Inlays & Onlays

Sometimes, fillings and crowns are not enough if there is enough damage to a tooth. Inlays and onlays are when we bond a strong restorative material to your tooth that strengthens it while making it look better. Inlays tend to be in areas where the material is surrounded by your tooth, while onlays tend to go all the way to the edge.

Laser Dentistry

Laser dentistry is a very modern method of performing a variety of dental procedures. Using a powerful and highly focused light, laser dentistry can make very precise incisions that can more quickly heal, and are more precise than a human hand will allow. Lasers set to a lower setting can also be used for a variety of procedures.

Bruxism, TMJ & TMD

TMJ and TMD happen when there is an issue with your mandible's link to its joint. In these cases or bruxism, where you grind your teeth at night, your teeth, jaw and even hearing can be harmed. By identifying what is happening and getting you to stop grinding or clenching your teeth at night, we can help you avoid a lot of discomfort and damage.

Oral Surgery

Oral surgery refers to any time you need some of your tissue operated on. This can be significant, such as a bone graft to your jaw, or relatively minor, such as removing your wisdom teeth from inside your gums. In any case, our dentists make the process pleasant and can be done with sedation options for comfort.

Root Canal Therapy

A root canal, also known as root canal therapy, involves opening up the gum tissue to treat a tooth's pulp if there is an infection inside your tooth. In some cases, a tooth becomes cracked or so deeply infected that the infections reach its pulp. Root canal therapy can often save a deeply troubled tooth or teeth.

More About Root Canal Therapy

Sedation Dentistry

Some procedures can be quite long and most patients would prefer to be sedated. Also, some may have a level of nervousness or fear surrounding going to the dentist. Your comfort is paramount to us, so sedation dentistry is a perfect way to simply relax your way through a procedure.

Tooth Extraction

When a tooth is too badly damaged, it simply cannot be repaired any further and will need to be removed. Tooth extraction is the process by which a tooth is removed safely. This is the last resort, and we make it as comfortable as possible. It is important to remember that often, this is only the start of a larger process.

All on Four Dental Implants

Sometimes multiple teeth must be removed. In a situation like this, all on four dental implants are a great solution. Four posts are inserted into your jawbone and become the base of an entire set of upper or lower teeth. They will not shift, as the posts will be deep-rooted. They will look and feel like your original teeth.

More About All on Four Dental Implants

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is where we take a gel-like substance, shape it to your tooth and harden it with a special light. This can correct a lack of straightness, adjust the coloration to appear lighter, and mask any old damage that your tooth may have taken over the years. Our dentists can perform dental bonding that will make your smile sparkle.

More About Dental Bonding

Bone Grafting

Missing one or more teeth can quickly lead to the start of jawbone deterioration. Fortunately, this can be prevented through bone grafting. Through adding a synthetic type of bone, or even real bone tissue, the procedure encourages your jaw bone to regrow. This strengths your jaw bone and keeps your bite solid.

More About Bone Grafting

Implant Supported Dentures

The loss of teeth is sometimes a fact of life. Fortunately, you can get dentures that have permanent supports. This makes the dentures stronger. Implant supported dentures allow you to select from several varieties that we will make specifically to complement your mouth structure and smile. Your implants will keep your dentures in place, so you can eat regularly again.

More About Implant Supported Dentures

Invisalign

Invisalign is a process that allows your teeth to go from crooked to straight, using an almost invisible process that works in the same way that braces do. This allows your teeth to become straighter naturally, without hindering your ability to brush, floss and eat. This is also the most aesthetically pleasing method of tooth realignment.

Porcelain Veneers

Damage can vary on a tooth, from the most severe damage that requires an extraction, through a dental crown, to the lightest amount of needing dental bonding. Once the inner repair is made, porcelain veneers allow our dentists to enhance the aesthetic appeal of your teeth with veneers bonded to your tooth surface.

Smile Design

An outstanding smile does not have to end with your youth. If your teeth are at less than their best condition, you can improve them a great deal. Smile design helps you to guide the aesthetic appeal of your teeth so that they can look their best. Smile design incorporates many possible procedures, and our dentists will walk you through the best ones for you.

Teeth in a Day

The placement process of teeth can take a long time, and require a great deal of time for healing and placement. Using a four-part dental implant, your dentist can attach an entire upper or lower set of teeth in a single day. Teeth in a day is a term that refers to the attachment of dentures to four points on one part of your jaw in a short period.

Teeth Whitening

Pearly white teeth may not seem possible to you now. Coffee, tea, tobacco and simply age can cause your teeth to discolor and lose their luster. Teeth whitening encompasses several ways that our dentists can help you to have the gleaming smile of your dreams.
